Towering Piskorka (Melanoides tuberculata)

They spend the day buried in gravel or sand, which they aerate with their activity and feed on fallen food, decaying remains, and detritus. After a while, they level out all the unevenness of the bottom. At night, they emerge from the substrate and explore the aquarium. In case of a lack of oxygen in the aquarium, you can see the mudskippers on the glass, heading directly to the surface in large numbers. Such a mass exodus always signals some problem with the water or filtration.
