Rainbow shiner [Notropis chrosomus]

I can bring beautiful smaller fish, the rainbow shiner [Notropis chrosomus], which grow up to 8 cm, to the market in Třeboň, or to another location by arrangement. They prefer cooler water, can winter outside, and can be kept in a pond year-round if there is sufficient depth, ideally at least 80 cm.

The attached photos are from an exhibition in Rychnov, where they truly shone in bright blue neon and caught the attention of many visitors. I keep them outside in a tub and move them to the winter garden for the winter. They are, of course, not as vividly colored at the market. When they spawn, it is a breathtaking sight. They spawn among smaller stones or gravel, see the photo of the prepared tank for spawning.

From 10 pieces, 40 CZK.
