Poecilocharax weitzmani

I am offering an interesting tetra, Poecilocharax weitzmani.
Only a few tetras take care of their brood. This species spawns in caves, and the male guards the eggs until they hatch. In fact, the male can spawn with multiple females at once, when they "want" and it works out. I had about 3 or 4 spawns at the same time, depending on how the young were swimming around. It resulted in around 120 young fish. It is recommended to keep them in species-only tanks, but when conditions are good, they can also be kept with other small fish that have similar requirements.
