Mekong Crab (Siamthelpusa sp.) - in-person pickup only
Freshwater crabs, unlike most other crabs, do not require land. They are relatively peaceful, even towards their own kind, as well as to small fish, as long as they are not overwhelmed. I recommend a maximum of 3-4 individuals per 50 liters. The aquarium should preferably be longer than it is tall, and in any case, it should be covered (crabs like to escape). They will appreciate hiding spots in the form of roots, stones, or leaves. They eat regular fish food, as well as dead plant material, deceased animals, small snails, and also oak leaves, pieces of carrot or other vegetables, and even pieces of raw fillet. They can become dangerous to fish and plants only when there are too many of them in the aquarium.
